The day of Ghadir is the day when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and his holy progeny proclaimed the guardianship (Wilayah) of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH), declaring:

"Whoever I am his master, Ali is his master. O Allah, befriend those who befriend him, and oppose those who oppose him."

This occasion marked the culmination of the divine message and affirmed the continuation of the path of divine guidance after the Prophet (PBUH) and his holy progeny through the leadership of Imam Ali (PBUH), the Imam of truth and justice.
