The Noble Sibt Festival at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa

The Law College at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa organized the Noble Sibt Festival under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, and in collaboration with the Scientific Affairs Department. The festival encompassed various activities in celebration of the auspicious birth of the Noble Sibt, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), featuring the Quran reciter Hajj Mustafa Al-Sarraf, the eulogist Mulla Yasser Al-Karbala'i, and lectures by Dr. Ahmed Al-Saffar.

Biomedical Engineering Department Holds The Bright Moons" Festival

In celebration of the birth of the Sha'banian Moons, the Biomedical Engineering Department, in collaboration with Al-Aqeela Zainab (Peace Be Upon Her) School in Khanaqin, organized a women's festival titled "The Bright Moons." The festival was attended by human development trainers from Board Skills in Germany and included various segments, such as a recitation of Quranic verses by Hafiza Zehra Zaher Al-Saadi, followed by a motivational lecture by Trainer Janan Salman Haider to encourage students in their religious commitment, perseverance, and diligence in studies. The event also featured poetry and entertainment for the attendees, along with prizes for diligent students.

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University Holds its First Festival on International Women's Day

Under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the Women's Empowerment Unit organized its first festival on the occasion of International Women's Day under the theme "Towards Empowering Women and Enhancing Their Participation in Sustainable Development." The festival included events honoring dedicated female employees at the university, and a speech by the representative of the Women's Empowerment Unit, Dr. Nadal Al-Maliki, emphasizing the importance of activating women's roles in society, empowering them, and enhancing their participation. Additionally, the festival recognized women's roles in preserving their families as the nucleus of society.

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University College of Law Holds its First Cultural Festival

Under the auspices of the university's presidency and the supervision of the College of Law's dean, the College of Law at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University held its first cultural festival under the title "The Luminous Saddles," coinciding with the auspicious anniversaries of the Holy Prophet's household (Peace Be Upon Them). The festival took place in the Imam Hussein Hall on Sunday and Monday (March 6-7, 2022) at 10:00 AM, with the participation of the esteemed Hussaini preacher Sheikh Zaman Al-Hasnawi and the Hussaini eulogist Mulla Ahmad Sadiq.

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University Celebrates World Arabic Language Day

On the occasion of World Arabic Language Day, and in the presence of Mr. Haider Al-Tamimi, Head of the Higher Education Authority, and under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (Peace Be Upon Him), in collaboration with the Colleges of Islamic Sciences and Law, organized its first festival under the theme "Arabic: The Language of the Holy Quran and the Identity of Our Nation." The festival, spanning two days, welcomed a qualitative and quantitative attendance of Arabic language professors, enthusiasts, and students. The first day of the festival featured the presentation of two research papers by eminent language researchers, highlighting the importance of Arabic as an identity that should be preserved and cherished.

Opening of the First Cultural Week Celebrating the Birth of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra At the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa

In the presence of the Head of the Higher Education Department at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Mr. Afdal Al-Shami, the President of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (Peace Be Upon Him), Professor Dr. Taleb Hassan Musa, and the President of Al-Zahra University (Peace Be Upon Her), Professor Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, along with teaching staff from both universities and distinguished guests, the first day of the inaugural cultural week celebrating the birth of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her) commenced. The event, organized by the Festivals and Conferences Department under the Public Activities Division at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein in collaboration with the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (Peace Be Upon Him) and Al-Zahra University (Peace Be Upon Her), began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by speeches from the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine and the presidencies of both universities. The event concluded with performances by poets and performers, praising the occasion and the Ahlul Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them).

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University Hosts the Creative Cultural Forum of Al-Zahra

With the presence of His Eminence, the Religious Authority of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi Al-Karbalai (May his glory endure), and the Secretary-General, along with some officials from both holy shrines and a significant number of distinguished guests from various universities and institutions, Al-Zahra University (Peace Be Upon Her) organized the Creative Cultural Forum on the occasion of the birth of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her). The event took place in the Alaa Building at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (Peace Be Upon Him). The ceremony was attended by the President of Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (Peace Be Upon Him), Professor Dr. Taleb Hassan Musa. The forum featured opening speeches, poetic recitations in honor of this auspicious occasion, lectures, and a book exhibition.

Theatrical Presentation Depicting the Tragedy of Speicher Martyrs

Students of the College of Law organized a creative theatrical presentation addressing the Speicher massacre. Assistant Professor and Vice Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Adnan Al-Sharoufi, mentioned that the performance incorporated universally adopted principles of human rights, emphasizing the right to life. The play illustrated the heinous crime of the Speicher massacre, equating it with other war crimes against humanity. The presentation was considered a significant and effective step in combating terrorism, terrorists, and their supporters, legally pursuing them as individuals or groups classified as war criminals committing genocide. The students chose the Speicher camp case for their theatrical presentation, eliciting a profound emotional response from the audience, many of whom were moved to tears. The Speicher massacre occurred in mid-July, where over 1,700 military personnel undergoing training by the terrorist organization ISIS were captured and killed in Tikrit, Salahuddin Province, northern Iraq.

The Language of Holy Quran and the Identity of Our Nation Festival

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (Peace Be Upon Him) concluded the activities of its first annual festival held in the Aula Hall, celebrating World Arabic Language Day. The agenda for the second and final day included presentations of four research papers by Dr. Adnan Al-Sharoufi, Dr. Latif Al-Qasab, Dr. Star Al-Ghazi, and Dr. Sami Al-Maamouri. Researchers and participants discussed the significance of language in legal formulation, and the feasibility of studying spoken Arabic dialects academically, and highlighted the Iraqi legislator's stance on language issues and other important linguistic matters. The festival, titled "Arabic: The Language of the Holy Quran and the Identity of Our Nation," produced several recommendations, including establishing an annual tradition and inviting specialists in Arabic and its professors from within Iraq and beyond.
This two-day festival witnessed a select group of educators, students, researchers, writers, intellectuals, and language, literature, and law enthusiasts, along with poetic and theatrical events involving university students.
