Theatrical Presentation Depicting the Tragedy of Speicher Martyrs

Students of the College of Law organized a creative theatrical presentation addressing the Speicher massacre. Assistant Professor and Vice Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Adnan Al-Sharoufi, mentioned that the performance incorporated universally adopted principles of human rights, emphasizing the right to life. The play illustrated the heinous crime of the Speicher massacre, equating it with other war crimes against humanity. The presentation was considered a significant and effective step in combating terrorism, terrorists, and their supporters, legally pursuing them as individuals or groups classified as war criminals committing genocide. The students chose the Speicher camp case for their theatrical presentation, eliciting a profound emotional response from the audience, many of whom were moved to tears. The Speicher massacre occurred in mid-July, where over 1,700 military personnel undergoing training by the terrorist organization ISIS were captured and killed in Tikrit, Salahuddin Province, northern Iraq.
